Ridley Orchard School provides a nutritious peanut and tree nut free snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon and a catered hot lunch mid-day. Snack and Lunch is made fresh daily from scratch, using only natural nutritious ingredients, organic when possible, including local and ethically farmed. We are delighted to celebrate good food and instill healthy eating habits at an early age that will last a lifetime. If your child has any dietary restrictions please notify the teachers, in writing.  Birthdays are shared with family members and classmates. Birthday treats and special snacks are purchased from local reputable peanut and tree nut free bakeries. Snack and Lunchtime is a pleasant experience for the children; the day’s activities, food groups, texture, flavour, colour, sound, etc. are discussed in a leisurely pace.

If you are able to help enhance our learning environment by sharing your time and talents with your child’s classmates please speak to your child’s teachers. When volunteering to bake/cook (eg: vegetable soup, matzo ball soup, pizza, bread cookies, pancakes, latkes, gingerbread houses, charoset, jam, butter, fruit salad, sandwiches, smoothies, eggs etc.) with the children please keep in mind that Ridley Orchard School is a peanut and tree nut free environment, due to several students having life threatening allergies to peanuts and tree nuts. When volunteering to come in to cook or/and bake; in addition to sharing your great recipes, please bring all ingredients in their original sealed packaging and read the ingredient list on the packaging carefully and go through it with your child’s teacher to ensure there are no peanut and tree nut products or any other dietary restrictions inside.  Your patience, diligence and contribution are greatly appreciated by all. In addition to your efforts enhancing our learning environment, your child will experience a special fulfillment only you can offer when sharing your time with their classmates.

Lunch is included for all ¾ and full-day enrolled children.

Drop-off to local public schools for students part of our ½ day morning and school and lunch program.
