Drama and Role Playing

Students re-enact everyday situations by role playing and exploring different emotions, characters, people and points of view.

Students interpret and respond appropriately to non-verbal cues.

Students develop communication skills; increase vocabulary and problem-solve in every day play scenarios through social interactions.

Students develop reading and writing skills then apply them to drawings; write signs, messages, prices, lists etc.

Students sort, order, count, sequence and classify objects according to play scenarios, selling, buying, paying, counting, weighing, adding and subtracting, developing number sense in real life situations

Students create, take on, assign and participate in dramatic play scenarios, taking on specific roles, using available props and materials to promote imagination and confidence.

Students rehearse ways in which voice and body can be used to convey thoughts and feelings.
