Ridley Orchard School teachers are affectionate and responsive, open and informative.  They have specialized Early Childhood Education degrees, may have degrees in Education and a variety of other related disciplines and are certified in First Aid and CPR and have Police Reference verification.

Teachers facilitate a nurturing, secure, child initiated and stable environment developing a variety of play and learn centers, which support children’s social, emotional, language, cognitive, creative and physical development. 

The kindergarten program has 16 children per class, with a teacher/child ratio of 1:8. The pre-kindergarten and preschool programs have 14 children per class, with a teacher/child ratio of 1:7. The toddler program (1½ to 2 ½ years old) has a teacher/child ratio of 1:5 and a maximum of 15 children in the group. Smaller groups are implemented for individualized learning experiences.

Teachers continually advance in Early Childhood Education professional development workshops, activities and seminars. As Early Childhood Education professionals, we serve as valuable resources for parents and their children on a variety of topics in child development. Teachers develop and facilitate individual parent/caregiver education and resources as needed.

In addition, highly trained specialty staff; bring their skills and expertise to Ridley Orchard School on a weekly bases, to provide the children with a complete school experience.
